Effective October 16, 2026
Privacy Policy
1. Who this covers
- Photographers who create an account and galleries.
- Clients, family and guests who open, favourite, download or pay to keep a gallery.
- Visitors who join the waitlist or send us a message through the chat.
For the photos inside a gallery, the photographer decides what is uploaded and who can see it. We store and deliver those photos on the photographer’s behalf. Questions about a specific photo are best sent to the photographer first.
2. What we collect
- Account details: name, email, studio name, password (stored securely by our sign-in provider, never in plain text) and the date you accepted our terms.
- Gallery content: preview copies of photos, captions, stories, quotes and settings. Photo data can include details saved by the camera (such as date or location); location is only shown in a gallery if the photographer turns it on.
- Google Drive access: if a photographer connects Drive, a secure token that lets us read the folders they choose. We do not read anything else in their Drive.
- Gallery activity: favourites, downloads and the email of anyone invited to a gallery or who gives it to us.
- Payments: name, email and what was bought. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Messages: the name, email, phone number and message you send through the chat or waitlist, and whether you agreed to receive texts or emails.
- Technical data: basic device, browser and usage information, and small files saved in your browser (for example to remember your favourites, layout choice or a passcode you entered).
3. How we use it
- To run your account and deliver galleries, previews and downloads.
- To show each person only what their access allows.
- To process payments and send receipts and gallery reminders.
- To answer your messages and, if you agreed, follow up by text or email.
- To suggest captions and pick a cover photo, which only you can approve.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and improve it.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your photos to advertise.
4. Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run Find Your Frame. They may only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Hosting, database and file storage (our app platform and its cloud database provider).
- Google, when a photographer connects Google Drive.
- Our payment processor, for checkout and payments.
- Our customer messaging and CRM system, for chat, email and text replies.
- AI tools that write caption suggestions from preview images, when a photographer asks for them.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
5. Sharing galleries
A gallery is visible to anyone who has its link (and passcode, if set). Anyone who can view a gallery can save, screenshot or forward what they see. Photographers and clients control who receives a link — please share with care. See section 4 of our Terms.
6. How long we keep it
- Free galleries: preview copies are deleted when the resting period ends.
- Paid or kept galleries: kept while the gallery is active, then deleted.
- Accounts: kept until you ask us to delete your account.
- Payment and tax records: kept as long as the law requires (usually up to 7 years in Canada).
- Messages and waitlist details: kept until you ask us to remove them or they are no longer needed.
Original photos in a photographer’s Google Drive are never deleted by us.
7. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections, access rules that limit each person to their own galleries, short-lived download links and secure sign-in. No system is perfect, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected people and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
8. Your choices and rights
- Ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it.
- Ask us to delete your account or your messages.
- Withdraw consent to texts or emails at any time — reply STOP to a text or use the unsubscribe link in an email.
- Disconnect Google Drive at any time from your studio settings or your Google account.
Email findframe@findyou.media and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Children
Find Your Frame accounts are for adults. Galleries may include photos of children taken by a photographer with a parent or guardian’s permission; the photographer is responsible for having that consent. A parent or guardian can contact us about a photo of their child.
10. Changes and contact
We will post any changes here and update the date at the top; for important changes we will tell account holders directly. Our privacy contact is Find You Media, operated by Desiré Kokuvi Amouzou, at findframe@findyou.media (backup: platfrm.ca@gmail.com).
